Moses Lake WAGAS DSL

Alignment, brakes, tires, transmissions and gas or diesel engines

Those are the words on the navy awning over the bays at 1706 W Broadway Ave. Behind them sit nine services, sorted here by where on the car the work happens. Every repair leaves with a 12 month parts and labor warranty and a 12,000-mile nationwide warranty.

Gas engines, diesel engines, and what bolts to them

Head gaskets to tailpipe is the shop’s own line, and the engine bays are where it starts. Technicians with ASE master certification work gas and diesel in the same building.

Engine repair

Head gaskets, timing belts and full engine replacement on gas engines, from daily drivers to a 1935 Ford pickup.

Diesel repair

Diesel trucks from fleet rigs to a 2007 Cummins 5.9 rebuild: intercooler, intake, seals, clutch and front end, with a state gas and diesel emissions certificate.

Also under the hood: auto air conditioning from technicians certified in MAC mobile A/C, and maintenance and tune-ups: oil and lube, batteries, radiators, cooling systems, fuel injection, timing belts and the 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000-mile services.

Transmissions and exhaust: the driveline side

Transmission repair

New and used transmissions, diagnosed and replaced by certified technicians with over 30 years in the trade. The shop says transmission and engine repair work “can be complicated,” which is what the certification and the ongoing training are for. Ben Justesen wrote that the shop “helped me with my transmission on a 1950 Ford Coupe.”

Exhaust and emissions

Exhaust systems, certified catalytic converter replacement and emissions repair for gas and diesel. The tailpipe end of the shop’s head-gasket-to-tailpipe promise includes a state emissions gas and diesel certificate.

Tires, alignment and brakes, where the car meets the road

Tires and wheels

The building was an OK Tire before it was Total Auto Care, and tire and wheel service is still on the awning. Tires from Michelin, BF Goodrich, Cooper Tires and Uniroyal. Wheels from Wheel One, Body Armor and Dirty Life Race Wheels.

Alignment and front end

Front end alignments, steering racks, shocks and struts, so the car tracks straight and the tires wear evenly.

Brake repair

Pads, rotors, calipers and lines, with a same-day free estimate before the work starts.
